Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Consultant
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide Lean Six Sigma (LSS) consulting and training services in the greater Boston area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as role model, mentor, and agent of change for development and refinement of LSS projects
- Educate, advise, and guide existing Green Belts at client sites to achieve the best possible implementation of LSS
- Understand and practice Change Management; guide client through the corporate culture change necessary to effectively adopt LSS as a management tool
- Deliver Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training in a classroom environment and facilitate hands-on exercises and simulations
- Execute Lean events
- Provide individual mentoring and coaching to Lean Six Sigma practitioners
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 – 5 years experience as a Black Belt
- Demonstrated application of Lean and Six Sigma
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Experience in Change Management and Conflict Management methodologies
- Experience executing Lean Six Sigma projects
- Experience in leading Lean events
- Dynamic approach to presentation/training at all levels of an organization with the ability to translate concepts into practical application
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and change management skills
- 3-5 years of experience in civil works construction requirements development, planning and construction practices
- Exceptional computer skills including operation of Microsoft Office and Minitab statistical software
- College degree (BS/BA)
- Willingness to focus full-time on Boston area clientele; willingness to travel 50+% if needed
PREFERRED:
- Graduate degree (MBA/MS)
- Knowledge of Theory of Constraints applications, especially Critical Chain Project Management
