Brian MacClaren
Chief Operating Officer

Brian is the chief operating officer and co-founder of NOVACES with a primary responsibility for the delivery of client services. He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with extensive experience developing customized training programs for clients in both the public and private sectors. Having trained hundreds of Lean Six Sigma Black Belts, Green Belts and Champions, and mentoring those individuals on scores of process improvement projects, Brian is a skilled instructor and facilitator at all levels of an organization. His ability to successfully lead large and progressive programs spans from the development of the first-ever Lean Six Sigma applications in the U.S. shipbuilding industry, to designing Lean Six Sigma courses integrated with Theory of Constraints for naval aviation maintenance supply chains, to performance improvement curriculum customized for healthcare organizations. Brian's focus on enterprise deployment strategies for process improvement has helped guide the company's formulation of SystemCPI, an integrated roadmap for achieving operational excellence. He earned his MS in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, MS in Engineering Management, and BS in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of New Orleans.
