James D. Bailey
Director of Consulting & Training Services
Jim is the director of training and consulting services for NOVACES. He is responsible for the company’s process improvement training, facilitation and mentoring services. He began his career at General Electric where he participated in the now famous ramp up of Six Sigma under CEO Jack Welch. He is a certified Master Black Belt and during his 25-year career at GE became qualified to teach all of the company’s portfolios of quality courses. He is an experienced executive with a comprehensive background in engineering, management, sales and business development. His talent as a leader and coach of change management ensures the implementation of solutions that are exceptionally tailored to client needs. After leaving GE, he delivered process improvement programs for Bank of America and Penske Truck Leasing both as trainer and project mentor. At Penske he developed courses on facilitation and the soft skills of change management, in addition to teaching technical material and applied statistics. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Society for Quality. Jim holds a BSEE degree from the University of Portland, and a MBA from the St. Mary’s College of California.
