Tommy Houston
Director of Government Services
Tommy is responsible for the development of the company’s services offerings in the government business space with emphasis on Department of Defense clients. He has 30 years of experience in the areas of leadership, program and operations management, Lean Six Sigma Deployments and overall Department of Defense experience. He is a certified Master Black Belt and has served in executive leadership of large-scale Lean Six Sigma deployments at Raytheon, Information Handling Services (IHS Inc), the Navy Marine Corps Internet Program (NMCI) and as Deployment Leader in one of the largest accounts at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He also applies significant knowledge in the Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodology and its application to defense program management. Additionally, Tommy has held key program management and supply chain positions in the government and defense industries. He is a retired Army officer with deep experience in large scale DoD change management efforts, having held key positions in transformation initiatives such as the Army’s Task Force XXI, Division XXI, Strike Force and Stryker Brigade Combat Team. In addition to teaching, coaching and mentoring Lean Six Sigma, change management and strategic planning, Tommy has been highly successful in facilitating and implementing military concepts to commercial practices such as the After Action Review and the Business Process Rehearsal. Tommy holds a B.A. Degree in History and Economics from Presbyterian College and is a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College. He is a member of the International Society of Six Sigma Professionals, National Defense Industrial Association, Association of United States Army and The Field Artillery Association.
