Award of EDA Tennessee Mission: NOVACES Awarded EDA Task Order to Support Economic Recovery Following Tropical Storm Helene (DR-4832)

NOVACES, a leading management consulting firm specializing in disaster response and recovery, today announced it has been awarded a task order under its Blanket Purchase Agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration. The award engages NOVACES to deliver critical economic recovery services in response to the damaging floods and other ill-effects caused by Tropical Storm Helene in Tennessee (DR-4832).

Under this task order, NOVACES will apply its proven expertise in disaster recovery and economic development to support the revitalization of the federally declared disaster areas of eastern Tennessee, including Carter, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Jefferson, Washington, Sevier, Johnson, Sullivan, and Unicoi counties. Adversely affected sectors include agriculture, small business, manufacturing, and economic infrastructure – including water, sewer, and transportation. The firm’s work will focus on identifying recovery challenges, developing resilient economic recovery strategies, and delivering technical support to FEMA’s Joint Field Office operations in Nashville.

NOVACES will provide subject matter expertise, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, and document technical assistance and recovery actions that empower state and local leaders.
